About Us
VIDLA Kidz is affiliated with VIDLA, which is an Institutional Member of the College of Teachers, and run by a team of highly qualified and skilled educators with distinguishing performing and academic careers.
How are we different?
The most important difference is that our training is syllabus led, which means that class structure and content is not at the whim of the Pod Leaders or teachers, but follows a very carefully planned syllabus so that you know in advance what your child (or teenager!) is going to be studying.
For each subject area - singing, drama and dance - we have had written a unique syllabus, which has been written by a qualified teacher / practitioner with extensive experience in the subject, ensuring that your child will be studying relevant, up-to-date content whilst having the most enormous fun! Each week, your child will participate in a wide range of activities based on singing, drama and movement (note: movement, not dance!), and broaden his or her confidence and social skills whilst also learning with our tremendous workshop / class leaders.
Naturally, class style changes for the different age groups, with the older students being challenged more, but also enjoying more individual input into their work. Classes for the youngest are all geared towards fun and development, so that the kids are learning heaps, but they might not realise it at the time!
To ensure that you can keep check on what your child is doing each week, we provide official VIDLA Kidz ‘workbooks’ which allow the kids to reflect on what they’ve done, and talk about it with Mum, Dad, or whoever’s listening! This allows them to go back over information that they might otherwise have missed, and gives you the opportunity to check on their progress. Interested? Then contact us here.
